Eggless Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

Ingredients

  • 3/4 Cup All Purpose Flour / Maida
  • 1/2 Cup Sugar
  • 1/4 Cup Butter / Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Essence
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1 cup Banana mashed
  • 2 tablespoon Chocolate Chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degree centigrade. Grease a loaf pan.
  2. Firstly mash the bananas. The mashed bananas should measure up to one cup.
  3. Put the mashed bananas in a bowl. Add butter/oil and sugar. NOTE - It would be better if you powder the sugar before using. The sugar will mix with the oil + mashed banana mixture easily. 
  4. Mix them together till the sugar melts. Now add vanilla essence. 

  5. In a separate bowl, sieve together flour, baking powder and baking soda. Add chocolate chips and mix so that the chocolate chips get coated with the flour. (This step is important as it prevents the chocolate chips from sinking to the bottom of the cake)

  6. Now add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. Mix nicely with the help of a spatula. 

  7. Pour this batter into the loaf pan. Add some chocolate chips on the top.

  8. Bake it for 30-35 minutes at 180 degree centigrade or till a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
