Eggless spiced almond cookies

Spiced Almond Cookies are perfect for Christmas baking. Enjoy these spiced almond heart cookies with a cup of hot chocolate or coffee.

Ingredients

  • ¾ Cup Maida All purpose flour
  • ¼ Cup Sugar
  • teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ Cup Butter
  • ¼ Cup finely chopped almonds
  • ½ teaspoon Vanilla Essence
  • Teaspoon nutmeg powder Jayfal powder
  • teaspoon Ginger Powder
  • teaspoon Cardamon powder Elaichi Powder
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon powder Dalchini Powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven at 180 C / 350 F for 10 minutes.

  2. Take sugar in a blender and powder it.
  3. In a bowl, add butter and whip it for a minute. (Remember to use room temperature butter.)

  4. Now add powdered sugar and whip for 2 minutes.
  5. Now add vanilla essence, nutmeg powder, ginger powder, cardamom powder and cinnamon powder. Mix nicely with a help of a spatula.
  6. In a separate bowl, sieve maida (all purpose flour) and baking powder.
  7. Add chopped almonds and mix so that the almonds gets properly coated with maida (all purpose flour).
  8. Add this mixture into the butter+sugar mixture.
  9. Mix nicely and form a dough.
  10. You can either form small balls using this dough and flatten these. Or you can cut small hearts as I have done.
  11. Bake these at 180 C / 350 F 10-12 Minutes.
