Such a recipe is of great help when you have to prepare something in a very less amount of time but you still want to cook something delicious.
Maybe your kids are just back from their vacation and they want to eat something home cooked and tasty and of course quickly!
Or maybe you have just returned from office, after a tiring day and you are in no mood to cook anything from scratch.
Today’s recipe come in handy during such times.
It is a very simple recipe. It gets prepared in a very less amount of time…
And the best thing is it is home cooked… Comfort food recipe!!!
So, you will need some pasta, obviously. I had this tri-colored pasta with me , so I used that. You can use any kind of pasta for this recipe.
You can add a lot of veggies in this pasta recipe. I have used sweet corn and mushrooms.
And, last but not the least, you will need pasta sauce for this recipe. Now, this recipe doesn’t require you to prepare a pasta sauce for the pasta. We will use ready made pasta sauce in this recipe. That’s why, it is a quick recipe. If you want , you can easily replace ready made pasta sauce with an exact amount of homemade pasta sauce.
Nowadays we even get wheat pasta. So if you don’t want to cook maida (all purpose flour) pasta, simply replace it with wheat pasta.

I was a bit skeptical about using this sauce as I thought this won’t have a good taste. But I was wrong. The pasta prepared using this sauce tastes really good.
I kept this pasta simple. I only added two veggies in this recipe – Sweet Corn and Mushrooms.
So you can also call this recipe Sweet Corn and Mushroom Pasta.
Another important ingredient in this recipe is mixed herbs. Mixed herbs is a combination of some Italian Seasoning like oregano, rosemary, chili flakes etc.
Mixed herbs give an authentic Italian taste to your pastas and pizzas. Thus if you want to cook pizza or pasta at home, definitely buy it.

Ingredients
- 1 ½ Cups pasta
- 2 tablespoons pizza-pasta sauce (Ready made Sauce)
- 4 Tablespoons water
- 1 teaspoon corn flour
- ¼ Cup chopped mushrooms
- ¼ Cup sweet corn
- 2 teaspoons chopped garlic
- 2 tablespoon oil
- 1 teaspoon mixed herbs
- Salt according to taste
- ¼ teaspoon pepper.
Instructions

In a pan, add water and salt. Bring it to boil. Add pasta and 1 tablespoon oil. Cook on medium flame till the pasta gets cooked.

After this strain the pasta and run it under tap water to stop it from further cooking.

In a small bowl, add pizza-pasta sauce, cornflour and water. Mix nicely.

Now take another pan. Add oil. Heat it. Add chopped garlic. Saute for a minute.

Add pizza-pasta sauce + cornflour + water mixture. On a low flame, cook this for two minutes. The sauce will start to thicken a bit.

Now add salt (the pizza pasta sauce itself has salt so we have to add salt only for the veggies we are adding, thus add salt accordingly)

Also add pepper and mixed herbs. Mix well.

Now add mushrooms, sweet corn and pasta. Mix nicely.

Cook on a low flame for 2 minutes.
