Rainy season has started and this calls for a nice snack recipe (Hint : Potato Cheese Cutlets :P). I love rains and I also love snacks. So ‘rain + snacks’ is the best combination for me.
Even if it’s not rainy season, one can make these cute delicious potato cheese cutlets. Firstly, these potato cheese cutlets are really quick to make. All they take is approximately 20 minutes. So you can make this literally any time.
These would be perfect for a kid’s party or actually any party. You can make these in bulk before the party starts; just deep fry them when the guests arrive and voila tasty potato cheese cutlets are ready!
The ingredients are quite simple – You would probably have all the ingredients for this recipe, at your home. Boiled potatoes, bread slices, cheese, a handful of spices and oil. That’s it!
You can either use grated mozzarella cheese or you can even use cheese slices, just tear them into small pieces and mix them in the cutlet mixture. Both works nicely.

I wanted to use to my cookie cutters and thus made heart shaped cutlets. :p
You can simply make the classic round cutlets. Or you can shape the cutlet mixture into small rolls to form potato croquettes. Another good way is to shape these into small balls to make Potato cheese balls. Or you can also make heart shaped cutlets.
What’s the Method?
Good question!
As I said earlier, this recipe is quite simple. In a mixing bowl, add all the ingredients, mix till a nice and uniform mixture is formed.
Heat oil in a deep bottomed wok/Kadhai. Deep fry the cutlets till they turn golden brown in color.
If you want to opt for a healthier version, then either bake these cutlets at 180C/ 350F. If you have an air fryer, then you can prepare these potato cheese cutlets in that also.
You can also make these as an evening snack. Kid’s would love these . If I am not wrong elders would also like these if they like eating snacks / comfort food. For an evening snack, you can accompany these with a simple beverage like  CHILLED STRAWBERRY MILKSHAKE or Homemade mocha Frappuccino.
Do try this recipe and let me know how it turns out for you.
