Schezwan Veg Fried Rice : Prepare restaurant style schezwan fried rice quickly and easily at home!

Fried rice is one of the most loved Chinese food. It’s a simple recipe prepared using rice, vegetables, spices and some Chinese sauces.
Fried rice pairs well with other Chinese delicacies like Chili Paneer and manchurian.

Today’s I am sharing schezwan fried rice recipe.
Schezwan fried rice is prepared using rice, vegetables, spices and schezwan sauce.
Schezwan fried rice is another popular Chinese rice recipe. They are quite popular on restaurants and street food stalls menus.
You can either use home made schezwan sauce or ready made schezwan sauce.
I have used ready made schezwan sauce for this recipe.

The recipe is quite simple. This fried rice can be prepared quickly.
You can eat schezwan fried rice along with chili paneer or manchurian (Just like vegetable fried rice).

You can serve them as an evening snack. You can also give them in lunch box to your kids.
How to make schezwan fried rice?

The recipe is quite easy. Firstly you will boil some rice. You can also use leftover rice for preparing schezwan fried rice.
The next step is to chop some vegetables. I have used capsicum, carrot and french beans in this recipe. You can also add mushrooms (if you want).
So, we will heat a wok or a deep bottomed pan. Then we will add some oil. When the oil is at the right temperature, we will add chopped garlic and chopped green chili. And we will saute them, on a low flame, for a few seconds. This is an important step as this gives the authentic Chinese flavor to the schezwan fried rice.
Then we will add the chopped vegetables. On a high flame, saute the vegetables for 3-5 minutes.

The next step is to add salt, pepper and the sauces.
Finally we will add the boiled rice. Mix nicely but carefully. Don’t saute the rice frequently otherwise the rice would get crushed completely.
Cook, on a low flame for 2-3 minutes. Serve hot!

Prepare restaurant style schezwan veg fried rice at home!
- 1 Cup Cooked Rice (Or leftover cooked rice)
- 1 Chopped Capsicum
- 1 Chopped Carrot
- 4-5 Chopped French Beans
- 1 Tablespoon Chopped Garlic
- 1 Chopped Green Chili
- 1 Teaspoon Schezwan Sauce
- 1/2 Teaspoon Tomato Ketchup
- 1/2 Teaspoon White Vinegar
- Salt to taste
- 1 Tablespoon Oil

Heat oil in a wok or a pan.

Add chopped garlic and green chili. Saute, on a low flame, for a few seconds.

Add chopped capsicum,carrot and french beans. Saute, on a high flame, for 2-4 minutes.

Now add salt, schezwan sauce and tomato sauce. Mix well and cook for a minute.

Add rice and vinegar. Mix nicely.

Cook, on a low flame, for 1-2 minutes.

Serve hot!
